Nourishing Green Kids Pancakes

These green pancakes are a delicious and nutritious meal for kids aged 3 years and above. Packed with protein and greens but still with a kid-friendly taste. Super easy to make and super easy for your little ones to eat on their own!

Servings: Makes 8 pancakes

  • 1/2 cup chickpea/besan flour
  • 1/2 cup water or milk of your choice
  • 1 cup raw vegetables of your choice
  • 1/4 cup yoghurt
  • 2 tbsp tigernut flour


Simply place all ingredients in a food processor, blender or use a bowl and stick blender and blend until reasonably smooth. Heat a non-stick pan to medium heat, use some ghee or coconut oil if you like. Pour mixture into the pan in small pancake sized puddles and fry until golden on the bottom and then flip. Allow to cool before giving to baby. Save extra batter for the next day (add water if needed to loosen), or simply store extra pancakes in the fridge, reheating to soften if you like.
